DAMAGED GOODS is more than just the sum of its parts and we invite you to acquaint yourself with the members of the band. KEITH KING was born into a musical family. His father and grandfather were an old vaudeville act known as A PAIR OF KINGS. A performer since the age of 5, schooled in the art of choir singing, KEITH sings, plays ukulele, harmonica, flute, assorted percussion, guitar, whatever makes a noise. He brings the old 'roar of the greasepaint, the smell of the crowd' to DAMAGED GOODS! He is the voice and the heart and soul of the band and the one that is known as DAMAGED. Bringing new life to old songs, creating new songs for all to enjoy, KEITH is the founding father of DAMAGED GOODS.
An original member of the ROCK 'N' ROLL DOCTORS, RANDY VAUGHN received his first drum set at age 7, and was in his first band at age 9. A 56-year career in music, playing in several bands up and down the east coast of the USA. Often channeling the style of RICHIE HAYWARD, he plays everything from jazz, rock, to funk. An all-round seasoned player and vocalist, he brings his flare to the DAMAGED GOODS sound by staying rock solid and in the groove. RANDY says, "Surround yourself with players that are better than you if you want to play good music."
DAVID MELBIE has performed music since he was 9, the age that he began guitar lessons. At 13, he formed his own band with classmates in 1969. He plays electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin, bass, keyboards, drums and percussion and has been singing in the choir all his life. A singer and songwriter, also known as THE REVELATOR, he was also part of the hard-rocking trio from the 90s known as THE ROCK 'N' ROLL DOCTORS, who stomped all over the North Country and now make up the power and flux that is DAMAGED GOODS.
NELSON ROCK is the newest member of DAMAGED GOODS. His violin adds a wonderful flourish to the sound that is DAMAGED GOODS. But, that's not all! He is also a multi-instrumentalist and a cunning linguist as well. NELSON hails from the North Country and has contributed greatly to our stage show and is a sensational recording artist in his own right. He brings a bundle of levity to the group mix and we love him dearly.
